Social Committee Report

The social year kicked off with another bowling morning at Hollywood Bowl. Over 40 people attended, some proved more skilful than others but a great time was had by all, the top scorers winning Easter eggs as trophies! (no expense spared here!)

Our Theatre Trip to see Grease in London was very popular with plenty of singing along to all those well known songs!

More recently our second Quiz Night at the Police Club was a fantastic success with over 130 people attending and over £500.00 being raised for Club funds. Once again, many, many thanks go to Louise Henson who did such a superb job organising this event along with Siān Edwards.

Finally, we have just returned from another theatre trip to the West End to see, We Will Rock You. What a fantastic show; enjoyed by everyone who came!

Thank you to all club members who have supported social events this year. Please take time to refer to the “Events Calendar” at the back of the AGM report and note future social dates in your diaries.

We are now stepping down from the Social Committee after several years but have all had a great time and have had fun organising events for your enjoyment. We do hope that you will continue to support the new committee with the same enthusiasm you have shown us.
