Chair's Report

Awards evening again, where did that year go?!

The club is about its swimmers but without the volunteers that do huge amounts of work it would not exist. I need to thank all committee members, officials, teachers and coaches and those who help out poolside for all their efforts in the last twelve months.

As swimmers leave the club, inevitably, so too do the parents/guardians and this is one of the biggest challenges in a voluntary organisation.

We need a constant stream of people coming forward from the Little Dolphins, Development and Competitive groups to make sure we have a robust continuity plan.

That aside, swimmers continue to set personal bests, continue to break club and championship records which shows we are still improving as a club.

One thing I would like to see an improvement in this year is attendance to open meets. We are a competitive club and every swimmer should aim to attend at least one open meet this year. We have a small number of swimmers that attend regularly but we need more.
