A
big thanks to all those parents who gave their time to qualify as club
officials and helped out at all the events throughout 2015.
2015 saw some exciting changes to the time trials run by the club. Two of these events were run as licensed events. This means the times obtained by the swimmers are officially recognised by the ASA and can be used for qualification to external events. We will run all three time trials this year (2016) as licensed events. There is a little more paperwork to run such events but more importantly more officials are required.
Currently Bushey ASC have the following qualified official’s:
Referee x 1
Judge level 2S x 2
Judge level 2S (in training) x 2
Judge level 2 x 2
Judge level 1 (junior official)
Judge level 1 (in training) x 3
Time keepers x 28 (11 junior officials)
All external events the club attends requires us to supply at least two officials so the more we have the better. As training and qualification for a Judge level 1 takes up to 12 months we need to recruit more timekeepers into Judge positions and hence more parents into timekeepers.
