Website Report

The website is pretty stable these days in terms of content and structure and there have been no significant changes or enhancements this year. However the (pleasingly) high number of swimmers entering internal, inter-club and external competitions has kept me busy getting results published.  Many thanks to all those who carefully read the results and let me know my (many) errors. I should remind everyone that to access results pages and to use the on-line facilities for entering internal competitions or responding to gala selections you are required to have a member’s login. So if you don’t already have access, please fill in the form on the website by following the ‘Password’ link on the left hand side of the main page of the site. There is also a link to the form on the login pages for both Gala Selections and Club Champs/Time Trials.

 

Also a reminder that if you already have a login but subsequently have an additional child join the club, let me know so I can add them to those associated with your login – this will save last minute panic when you find you cannot enter everyone in club champs with the closing date looming.

 

If you need to contact anyone on the committee or team managers regarding galas,  you can use the ‘Contact Us’ page (link on left hand panel of website) where you will find e-mail links to specific people / roles – this will help ensure your question gets to the correct person directly and hopefully ensure a timely response.

 

As ever, I urge everyone to visit the website regularly. The website is an important means of communicating information to all our members on a variety of topics. In particular, we make use of the splash page for important news items which often need to be relayed at short notice (e.g. a pool closure

causing cancellation of swim sessions). The calendar is also updated regularly with details of gala dates and venues (for which there is generally a link showing the address or postcode for your Sat Nav) so we would encourage you to visit on a regular basis to keep abreast of what is going on.

 

Finally, it is time to think of succession planning.  I have looked after the website for a number of years now, but with Steven heading of to University in the autumn I would like to hand over the reins during the year.  The role could be split so one person looks after the website itself and someone else looks after the various swim time spreadsheets and gala results.  If you are interested in helping, or want more information about the role, you can e-mail at webmaster@busheyasc.org or talk to me at any of the club sessions.
