Membership Report

Bushey continues to be a thriving teaching club, attracting many new club swimmers eager to compete in competitions. But we also see and when appropriate encourage our swimmers to move on to higher level swimming clubs where we are praised for the technique and skills that our teachers have taught those individuals. Thus during the year we have had a constant turnover of swimmers, which keeps any membership secretary on their toes. However the new systems to ensure both membership and swimming subscriptions are received timeously has assisted both the membership secretary and the treasurer.

The club currently has 128 members with many parents volunteering as an official or on the committee, which without this goodwill the club would not be able to run.

We continue to maintain a healthy waiting list and once again changes have been made here to ensure that we now carry assessments out on a regular monthly basis to ensure no-one has to wait to long.

Unfortunately due to reasons beyond my control I have to stand down from the membership role but this is a fantastic role to get to know the swimmers and parents of Bushey Amateur Swimming Club.
