Officials Report

In 2009 the structure of ASA Swimming Officials qualifications changed to a more practical and modular basis.  Some 40 parents and members of Bushey ASC now hold ASA qualifications including some of our senior squad swimmers who have become Junior Officials.  We ran a second successful club timekeeper course and practical assessment at our second club championships.  We have also had parents undertaking timekeeper courses at other venues and some of our qualified officials are now going on to do further Judge qualifications.  You will see all these vital volunteers wearing white and clutching stopwatches and clipboards at our club competitions.  You can join them!!!

The basic course takes less than half a day and requires simple common sense.  Let me know if you want more information.  It is a great way to start to get involved with the club and to support the swimmers.
