Speed Award Certificates (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum)

During 2018 the club has continued to monitor progress of our swimmers using the ASA Sprint Awards. The times are shown on the club website.   

When a swimmer achieves the qualifying times in all four competitive strokes and the individual medley we present them with their certificate.  So tonight we would like to congratulate swimmers in each of the following categories.

Club Records:

We had a huge amount of club records broken this year! These are all age categorised and we have certificates to give out to mark their success.

 

Club Championships Records:

As usual we held three Club Championships during the year.  Points are awarded for each event and the overall age group winner for the boys and for the girls respectively is presented with the age group award. However special mention goes to those swimmers who on the night of the club champs swim the fastest time recorded at the club championships for that event.

We had several championship records broken this year. The full list of new club championship records is now being shown. We have certificates to mark these achievements to present to the swimmers concerned.

Most Improved Swimmer Cup:

This year the cup goes to a swimmer who has improved so much in his 4 years with us.  He has had 27 club records a lot of them beating his own previous record.  Was the first junior swimmer while I have been with the club to go to regionals and also was selected to represent the region in the relays.  He is a joy to coach and always eager to improve.

Endeavour Plaques:

We also like to recognise swimmers who consistently work hard in training and always approach swimming with a positive mind set. 

 

Overall Endeavour Award (Bill Dowse Goblet):

This swimmer joined in 2014 when they were only 8 years old.  We have seen her really progress over the last few years.  She always trains hard and gives her all when representing her club.  This year saw her take on the challenge of 100 fly for the first time at arena league, she gave it her best and achieved her silver speed award.

Tony Amos Cup:

Tony Amos was very much associated with the non-swimming end of the pool, this award has been based around the younger swimmers where they are either ‘swimmer of the year’ or ‘most promising young swimmer’.

Gala Awards: - We like to give recognition to anyone who has represented Bushey at a swimming gala, a way of saying thank you as without you guys we wouldn’t hold our current league positions that the club has worked so hard to maintain.  Whether you have swam in Herts Major League, Peanuts, Arena or the Isabel Galas we would like to present to you an award to mark your commitment, performance and reliability.
